A great day to be lazy in Icy Straits. Sea Lions are one of many different wildlife you could see on your fishing trip in Alaska. Taking an Alaska whale watching tous is also a very good way to see some Alaskan wildlife. |

Here’s a nice Red Snapper (aka Yellow Eye). In order to find these beautiful fish, Black Rock Charters will take you to the outer coast where you can enjoy deep sea fishing in Alaska. You can also hook into a Salmon Shark, Ling Cod or Sea Bass. Although you will sometimes require a strong stomach on the outer coast, due to ocean swells, there is never a dull moment when on your Alaskan charter fishing trip with Black Rock Charters.

Tanya, a friend of Captain Josh, can barely hold up this 60 lb. halibut. While on your halibut fishing trip in Alaska, this is the more common size of halibut you will catch. They are also the best tasting. While the bottom side of this halibut is white, the top side is a mixture of browns to blend into the sand on the ocean floor to hide from predators. |

The Bartlett River has many species of salmon run up it. Here, Greg holds two Sockeye Salmon, also called Red Salmon. They are called Red Salmon because in freshwater, its color is bright red. Its color in saltwater is bluish-green on top and silvery on the bottom.
