Typically, these larger Alaskan Halibut are the females and it is nice to bring them up and take a picture of them from the boat and then release them. However, it is ultimately your choice, and it sure does make a great picture for your photo album entitled &#8220;Halibut fishing in Alaska&#8221;.</td>

When swimming, sea lions can reach up to 25mph which has come in handy at times. Captain Josh has many Alaskan fishing stories. One of which is of a Sea Lion chasing down a smaller halibut on the end of his line and catching it. So while on your fishing trip in Alaska, make sure to ask Captain Josh to tell you some of his stories.</td>
