In order to get to the river, you hike about an hour on a moderate trail through the woods. All the while, keeping an eye out for hungry black bears.

Sea Lion Pic Standing tall in the warm sunshine, this Sea Lion is one of many that you could see while charter fishing in Alaska with Black Rock Charters. When swimming, sea lions can reach up to 25mph which has come in handy at times. Captain Josh has many Alaskan fishing stories. One of which is of a Sea Lion chasing down a smaller halibut on the end of his line and catching it. Although Alaskan Halibut are fun to catch, they can sometimes take up to hour to bring them to the boat. Luckily, there are always other guests that are willing and able to give you break and help you bring in your fresh Alaskan Halibut.

This is Dan, Daniel, Corbin, and Ross on their Alaskan Halibut fishing trip. It seems that they stumbled into a school of Alaskan Halibut. These Halibut range from 30 lbs. to 60 lbs. They are the perfect size for taking home. The meat is tender and sweet, and melts in your mouth.
